Promises Retained

Filed under: Lyrics — alliini at 5:24 pm on Sunday, June 24, 2007

I promised more lyrics would follow shortly and I’m not a liar. I would like to know what you think of these two following stanzas. What they mean to you, what  you believe they symbolically represent, and what you think of them.

Yes or No,

What happened to the world turning, too slow?

Now Times way too fast,

I’ve always believed in looking forward,

I’d like a little time to look back.

And:

Life is meant to be fun,

But no one said it was fair.

You can dream all you want,

But you’re gonna have to dare.

You need to party some,

Work is good too.

But,      Don’t let it rule you.

The sad reality is these are lyrics and you can’t hear the music that suppourt them as I do. I’m curious though to see how you interpret them and I hope you enjoy. If these are sucessful the rest of the lyrics will follow shortly. Enjoy!

Another day, Another Poem

Here is another poem however this one’s just half baked and still under speculation:

If tears fall with the hindrance of pain,

Emotions clash like the thundering rain.

Fury born of simmering passion,

Love was born a madman’s ration.

My Lyrics Ms. G which I really don’t like

I watch as you rain hollow tears,

Walk the pavestones worn by years.

I was told the road is rough,

That it would be a little tough.

Everytime you scale a cliff,

Your hands are tired your back is stiff.

Life Isn’t a marked road,

You carry on with your own load.

Heck I know life’s not fair,

It’s not a dream but more a dare.

I’m not particulary proud of this piece and it’s actually a convergence of quite a few lyrics I’ve created, which may follow shortly. However singing them is an entirely different matter. One day I’ll throw something a lot better than this.

Cleanse

She watched the sky as the atmosphere darkened.

She listened as the earth cried booming cries.

Morbid tears fell to the earth in pristine rain.

The sky shed its pain to masquerade.

Clouds drifting in a celestial dance.

Light faded across the sky like veins.

The heavens glided with lustful ardor.

Emotions fluttering along the wind.

With the beat of an ominous drum.

Cleansing the implications of unsaid sin.

She whirled on fresh grass, toes bare.

Her skin wet like gleaming gloss.

She wallowed in purified bliss.

Pain discarded like the fallen rose petals.

Her heart beat renewed.

New Poem, Please tell me what you think!

Crystals danced,

Drifting in unheard cadence.

Falling slowly, pacing.

Skin slick with effort.

Falling, open embrace.

They clasp they earth.

A blanket, holding.

They shroud the sleeping,

Marshmallow coating.

Wooly red intrudes.

Poking, licking.

The glitter watched,

Mild curiosity.

One blew,

Finding juicy perch.

Listened to roasting beat.

Then looked within,

Empty self.

To find no pulse.

With a cry,

Faded.

Trickled away.

To fall in milky night.

Hey Everyone!

Winter

She awoke in hurried passion,

Wide awake, her eyes flashing.

She flew to the window,

Then flew to the door.

This is what she’d waited for.

She flung herself to the ground,

The crispy substance stifled sound.

She rolled and laughed,

Laughed and rolled. Enchanted by its grasping hold.

Blinding, refreshing, All the while.

She sat there beaming,

Flashing a smile.

Was it the snow,

The sweet loved snow?

That alighted the smile?

Or was it the feeling deep inside,

That makes all life worthwhile.

A poem that just came lol. ;)

So willing so young,

So green with youth,

No trouble no toil,

Naive and aloof,

So supple and strong,

Know no wrong,

Flex, around your obstacles,

Destiny calls.

Strong and Sturdy,

Finally worthy,

You step out.

Out to prove,

Make your move,

Balance, balance is key,

Over mind, over body,

Thought before action,

Stimulus, reaction,

You carry their load,

A little farther down the road.

Past, past what is past?

Time is gone,

Will life last,

The mind is wise,

The body weak,

Shadows reap,

Some light shines,

The good times,

Mold with the clay,

The role you play,

Teacher, Model,

Loved.

Into the grey,

Fade away,

Black, black,

There is no going back.

Memories live on,

The body gone.

Life goes on.

So……

You are probably wondering what the heck The League of The Dragon is. I will give you a basic summary, but more detailed chapters and such will be added later. If you don’t want to read it you don’t have to, but please keep checking back for my kodiak scholar works.
P.S.~Title may change over time.

So, in what I guess you could consider medieval times, it is fantasy lol, is the setting. A wicked evil runs through the land. A group of people have been destined to set things right, but can they? (Very Short lol until I have time.)

My ideas

Filed under: Uncategorized — alliini at 4:46 pm on Thursday, November 9, 2006

O.k., I’m planning on writing a fantasy novel/series. I would love to call it the League of the Dragon. I know not a lot of people here are into fantasy. But the closest thing I could compare it to, you guys know, is Lord of the Rings. Infact J. R. Tolkien has really inspired me. Infact few, actually no one, I know has had the resolve to read all of his books. But he is a very good writer, and it amazes me how he created those different languages! I know I will never meet his standards, but I hope I can somewhat come close. Another person I really look up to is Christopher Paoloni, I think’s that’s how it’s spelled, who wrote Eragon and Eldest. He wrote Eragon when he was just sixteen which has really inspired me in that way. Finally, I love Terry Goodkind, Anne Mcafery, and now Kim Harrison. They have really opened my eyes to the possibilities. If you’ve never read one of their books I suggest you do! Anyways, I really hope this works out!
